• To improve AI models by using uploaded images to enhance sign recognition.
• To process in-app purchases and manage credit-based transactions.
• To analyze user behavior and enhance user experience via Firebase Analytics.
• To handle user authentication and account management via Clerk.
• To process payments and manage subscriptions via RevenueCat.
• To ensure app stability by collecting crash data and diagnosing technical issues.
• To comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud or abuse (e.g., preventing exploitation of free credits).

3. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services

We do not sell your data to third parties. However, we use third-party services to provide functionality:

• Azure OpenAI API (for AI-based recognition and processing)
• Google APIs (for authentication and location-based services)
• Firebase Analytics (for app usage tracking and diagnostics)
• Clerk (for user authentication and account management)
• RevenueCat (for in-app purchases and subscription management)

These third-party providers process data according to their own privacy policies.

4. Data Storage & Retention

• Uploaded images are stored temporarily for up to 12 months and then automatically deleted.
• User account data is retained until the account is deleted or terminated.
• Transaction/payment history is kept until the user account is deleted or terminated.
• While some data is processed and stored within the European Union (EU), certain data may be processed outside the EU by third-party providers such as Clerk and RevenueCat. These providers follow their respective data protection policies and apply necessary safeguards.

As a user in the EU, you have the following rights under GDPR:

• Right to Access: Request a copy of your stored personal data.
• Right to Correction: Update incorrect or incomplete data.
• Right to Deletion: Delete your account via the app, which will erase all associated data.
